B.L.A.C.K ( but we are Brown)
Blessed. Loving. Attributed. Creative. Kings and Queens
Beautiful. Longing. Artistic. Charismatic. Kemetic
Brown skinned gods and goddesses Ancestral Crafters
Labeled with the color of darkness
B.L.A.C.K (but we are brown)
constantly blamed for disasters
Hated and feared
Have a inherit career of mistreatment and being misled
But like iron in fire
Thorough bred molded
Publicly ridiculed murdered and scolded
Labeled with the color of darkness
B.L.A.C.K (but we are Brown)
yet filled with a blinding light
Not easily smoldered
Some of our brown siblings are ashamed of their own sight
Different arrays of brown
But take delight in your melanin
Different shades varied hues
Some have to pay for this complexion… Never be ashamed of your reflection brown family
Yet labeled B.L.A.C.K
the color of tar… Made out to seem negative by far
Everything From being
B.L.A.C.K. listed B.L.A.C.K. mailed
B.L.A.C.K balled. If its Black it must be unclean.
Yet without B.L.A.C.K skies the Stars would go unseen
dark and strong Like coffee beans and precious like onyx and oil
Rare Diamonds and rubies
B.L.A.C.K like little dresses and articles of clothing that can be worn with any and everything
Through wear and tear we’re everywhere
Intimidating is our skin?
B.L.A.C.K but we are Brown
The eyes are the Windows to the soul. Although some of our spirits are dim….Its hard to look straight into the souls whose inner Royalty exudes from within
